For those of you who hate things just because they're popular, well, know that it's no reason. I resented Twitter for that too, however, but it's actually pretty cool, and above all, it's simple. In this complicated world, anything simple appeals to me (and to you too, if you like this strip).

Welcome to all the new watchers by the way! I've been running a bigger advertising campaign and the new readers are dozens and dozens.

Because of this, I gave up on thanking people invidually for the watches - just as I had given up on thanking people individually for favs before. I did try, but after 3 hours of doing nothing but thanking people, I figured I just couldn't invest the time. Please believe that I AM grateful to everything you do. A lot of people complain about getting favs without comments, and I find that extremely capricious. Sure, comments are nice, but it would not occur to me to complain about not getting enough of your time and consideration. Everything you do with regards to my work is welcome with utmost gratitude. I have strictly no reason to complain.

So yeah, I won't be thanking new watchers individually from now on, but I still respond to comments. (Maybe a day will dawn when I won't be able to respond or even read comments, but I think this isn't for tomorrow, so all comments shall be dutifully read and replied to.)

PS: I will be extremely busy until August - having an essay and a thesis to finish in emergency - so expect the next strip to be very slow.
