A word to you:

For now, this strip has a very small audience, and perhaps that's all it deserves, but in case you think otherwise, feel free to spread the strip around as much as you please. That means you can save the image and put them in your Facebook albums, or MySpace, or what have you, and that will not only be fine with me, it'll be greatly appreciated. As long as you leave the signature and link to my page, it's legal and encouraged!

A friend's recommendation is the best promotion.

If this strip goes on, if I can still find ideas and such, and if the audience's reaction is still positive, I'm considering getting my own website for it. But I won't do this unless it's a viable project. This is where your comments are important, I can't read your minds, and knowing your thoughts is precious to me. I know I'm not a very good drawer at all, and that this is the great weakness of every strip I've ever made, and that is why the focus of this is mostly on words, rather than visual prowess. The question is whether this weakness is fatal for a strip or not. You be the judges.

Very striking strip once again. The last pannel is especially strong.
As for the website, I wouldn't recommend it at least as of yet - as far I know, it's not the cheapest thing to get your own host and all that (I know nothing of owning a website), and in my eyes it would make more sense once it started to lift off more, when it really gathered a following. Say, why not find other art sites or forums where you can post them as well? You'd have an audience outside of DA and maybe the strip would gain more popularity.

I'm counting 300 bucks a year for a website of my own, so yeah, I'd rather have a following before I get the site. Ideally I'd want 100 strips before I get to it, and at the very least 30 (which isn't too far now), but only with a substantial audience.

I should try other art sites, it's just that I'm not too excited by the idea of re-submitting all this stuff. And the pessimist part of me whispers, "If it doesn't pick up here, no reason for it to pick up anywhere else."

Not really, but that's unrelated to the strip! Even if I become super happy, the strip will continue being sad because that's what it's about. Don't think every strip is a personal statement or anything. It's its own thing now.

Thanks for caring! And for looking at my little work.
